Front Desk CSR

SUMMARY OF POSITION:  The Front Desk CSR reports to the President of Strovis Insurance.  The Front Desk CSR is the first person the customer encounters when entering our agency and provides customer service support to the organization by responding to inquires about Strovis Insurance services, policies, renewals, etc.  Excellent computer skills is a must.  This position ensures an excellent standard of service and high customer satisfaction is maintained.  The Front Desk CSR is also responsible to support the staff with clerical duties.  Active SC P&C License preferred, or ability to obtain within one year of hire.

KEY RESULTS AREAS (KRA’s):

Transactions

  • Professionally handle incoming calls from customers and ensure issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly. 
  • Multi Tasking
  • Assist Account Managers.
  • Provide Certificates of Insurance as needed.
  • Accept and verify payments.
  • Ability to maneuver in multiple websites
  • Scan documents.
  • Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication with both internal and external customers to support a high rate of retention.  
  • Maintain a balance between company policy and customer benefit in decision making.  Handles issues in the best interest of both the company and the customer.
  • Provides back-up support to other team members in the performance of job duties as required such as, clerical, etc.  
  • Assist visitors (clients, employees, potential clients, etc.) with questions,policy renewals, etc.
  • Uphold complete discretion and adherence to established security policies and processes. 
  • Keep abreast of Insurance regulations, company policies and services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.  

SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:

  • Active South Carolina Property & Casualty license, or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
  • Superior Customer Service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Be able to demonstrate attention to details and good-record-keeping.
  • Hands-on detail-oriented tasks.
  • Ability to complete tasks accurately and on time.
  • Utilize critical thinking and look at the “big picture” and how everything makes an impact.

  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel as required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Must be proficient with MS Office, data entry and office equipment.  
  • Must have excellent oral, written and presentation skills.  
  • Demonstrate ability to learn new technology and ability to train others on how to use. 

WORKING CONDITIONS:  Primarily in an office environment.
