Insurance Sales Producer - Commission Sales

Location:  Summerville, SC

Type:  Exempt

Salary Range:  Salary plus Commission

Strovis Insurance is seeking energetic and outgoing commercial and personal lines producers who are not afraid of interacting with people or of the telephone, and with a proven history of success.  This is a sales job and you will be required to meet certain expectations and sales goals while growing & managing our Summerville market.  You will have immediate access to dozens of companies.  Stop building someone else's book of business and start building yours today!  Supported by an enthusiastic staff, our sales-oriented producer will identify, pursue and close new and existing commercial lines accounts.  You will be responsible for keeping informed of the industry developments, remaining consistently engaged in team initiatives.

Summary of Position:

This position reports to the President.  The Insurance Sales Manager is responsible to sell auto, home, and commercial insurance and meet sales goals.   Leadership qualities are a definite plus.

Key Result Area’s (KRA’s):

Transactions

  • Meet new business production goals and objectives, as established
  • Solicit for new business via telephone, networking and other lead sources
  • Develop insurance quotes, make sales presentations and close sales
  • Process customer policy change requests
  • Secure all trailing documents from customers
  • Ask each customer for referrals and explain our referral program
  • Manage the current Summerville team day to day

Compliance

  • Educational requirements for all insurance carriers, with updates as requested by management
  • Compliance with all licensing requirements and continuing education is a requirement.

And other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications:

The Insurance Sales Manager candidate should have an existing Property & Casualty license or able to obtain within 60 days of hire, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or two years insurance experience.  Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required. 

Working Conditions: Primarily in an office environment. The noise level in this environment is moderate.  Will be expected to travel as needed to visit clients, training, etc.

Supervises:  Summerville office, currently 2 employees

Salary: Based on years of experience and licensing.  Commission structure based on new and renewal business of producer and team they are managing.
